Am I getting enough?

Rest, that is.

I'm on an extended holiday and trying to keep the C25k going. But being on holiday means I'm also walking a lot--20K today, a "rest" day.

Am I treating my crumbling body with due respect? Or am I cruising for a bruising?

I don't want the magic elves who install the upgrades to get angry.

Rest is a bit of a misnomer. No-run-day would be clearer, if not as catchy.

Basically you can do other activities, walk, swim, cycle, yoga, pilates, etc, just don't run.

Happy holidays... as long as you are not banging those legs down too much!

I walk 10k on a Tuesday and 10K on a Wednesday each week, with our small runner in training ( granddaughter in her buggy.. those are two of my rest days :)

Stretch the legs out, and make sure you enjoy the holiday too... are you running whilst away?

Yes I am...the idea that I would run is one thing, that I would run on holiday is something else again. Strange days

Be mindful of all the added mileage in your legs from walking and I would personally cut down the mileage your scheduled runs if your legs are tired. Do you normally walk a lot anyway?it really depends what your body is used to.

I am with Ju-ju on this one.

If you are used to the combined level of exercise that you are proposing, then probably no problem, but you can't discount the amount of energy and effort that goes into a strenuous 20k walk.

The only way to find out is to do it and it is most likely in the running that any tiredness is going to show, so be prepared to go extra slow and possibly not complete.

Enjoy your holiday.
