Cold, damp, windy ... Lovely

Since we moved to Norfolk nearly 6 weeks ago we've not quite found our running routine, it's all a bit random as, by the time Mr NW finishes work at 2pm it seems to be almost dark here, on cloudy days at least. That and coupled with lots of rain, (no snow here, though), roads like ice rinks (Monday's run had to be abandoned as I could barely stand up, let alone run!) and gail force winds - but here's one we did yesterday as the sun was shining - yay! - but my god it was cold! Although I had layers on top I might as well have been running without leggings my legs were FREEZING! Anyway, here's a picture. On this occasion my face is red from the cold and NOT from overheating, as is the norm!

Ah, lovely Norfolk! I am on my way there now from London to visit my mum. Have brought my running shoes, so will (for the first time), run around the estate I grew up on! Bit worried as am sure it will be much colder than balmy south London where I now live and run...

Good on you for getting out in these cold conditions! Hope you get back to a routine soon (weather permitting).

Get a hat on! You lose all your body heat via your head 🙂

I wore my winter weight Saucony tights the other night and they were great. It started snowing heavily so was glad I did! I tuck my Merino top down my tights to keep my lower back warm

Happy running.👍

Although I'm a hat-wearer generally, I HATE running in a hat! I get all itchy and annoyed ... Maybe I just haven't found the right hat. What hat do you run in misswobble?

Well done, you've done way better than me, I'm also in Norfolk. The weather has been putting me right off lately, and the dark isn't much fun either. No runs since a week last Tuesday.... Hopefully I can get out on Sunday morning.

Keep moving! 😀

No streetlights round here so I think my days of night time running may be over (we always ran in the evening at the old house) but that's OK.

I hope you managed your Sunday run. 😊

I know what you mean!

I wear a Buff, folded to cover my ears. If it’s really wet I put a baseball cap on (it’s a cheap running one from Aldi). I have a hooded run jacket and I can put that over my cap if it’s really bad I do have various run hats but I’m quite like some ventilation on the top of my head. it’s not often really cold enough to wear a full hat but it has been lately you can always take it,off and stuff it in your pocket if you get too warm. You can put it back on for the walk home
