Hi everyone hope your all keeping injury free 😊 my last run was over 2 weeks ago and unfortunately (not run related) I twisted my dodgy knee and ended up barely able to walk! Anti inflammatory tablets painkillers & gels are sorting me out 🙁 Enough of my whinging now let’s get to the point I’m back in my sunny climate of the Canary Islands for the next 5 weeks and been doing a lot of walking this week to get some strength in my knee and I’m hoping to get back out to complete my C25K in the next day or two Do I go back a few weeks? Start at week 7 where I left off or what do you all advise? I really miss my time out there and walking is just not the same Thank you all for your advise in advance 😊

I think I would do a full week five, give you a chance to test those knees. Then if all goes well do the last run of week 6, and then you are back on schedule.

But if you are up for it you can try a week 7 and see how it goes. Just ensure you listen to your body.

Than you that sounds like a great idea 😊

Wonder where sooty has run off to?!! If I were you...I would just go for a coupls of light, slow 10 minutes jogs., just too see how comfortable or uncomfortable it feels....I don’t think you’ll have lost any stamina so I wouldn’t worry about that...if it feels ok, I’d carry on from where you left off....keep us posted

Thank you yes I’m going to start easy to see how I go knee is only troublesome at night and I’m trying to stay away from the anti inflammatory tablets just using a gel now. Will keep you posted 😊

There you are Sooty. Was wondering how you were doing. Millsie’s idea sounds good but I would take it very easy at first maybe even do a shorter set to test things out before you commit to finishing the program. If it feels good then go for it 😁
