I made a passing comment to the family that โ€œI might start runningโ€. That was eight weeks ago. I had to repeat Week 3 due to knee problems but since then I havenโ€™t looked back.

Iโ€™m 57 and I havenโ€™t run since my school days. I get up early three days a week because I now want to run. If I can you can - Iโ€™m away on holiday next week and Iโ€™m not thinking about what restaurants I want to visit just where Iโ€™m going to be able to run for 28 minutes. Thank you C25K you have transformed me ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ˜Š.

Taking your kit on holiday? I did too. It was good to run in a different climate

Yep me to. Watch kids do hackney 1/2. Marathon and saw lots of mature people. Before I knew where I was, I was signed up to C25K, then onto Park Runs. Will be repeating Finsbury Park

Run next Saturday. Hope I am not second to last again! However in my age range I was 3rd! Lol Iโ€™ll take that. He he

Well done you enjoy

And well done you! Iโ€™ve got a low boredom threshold so the 30 minute runs will be my goal ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธx

Welcome to the club, Youngster. Nothing wrong with being a Silver Strider, or in my case, Silver Shuffler. Gets you doesnโ€™t it? Just enjoy it.

Well done you. Like you I hadnโ€™t done any running since school days, although I do play golf, and three years ago I completed a 7k fun run. I then wanted to continue but had great opposition from my family who think I am too old to be running!! So a few weeks ago I logged onto C25k on the pretext that it is an NHS initiative and am back thoroughly enjoying my morning โ€˜jogsโ€™. Have had to take a week off with a minor back problem but will be back next week to continue week3/2.

Ah yes I think we need to be careful re injuries but my whole body feels much better for those runs ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ

Thank you! You just inspired me to do my first run after months of trying to coax myself into starting c25k. 52 and never run before ๐Ÿ˜€ one run down.... here I go. Wish me luck ๐Ÿ˜€
