I made a passing comment to the family that โI might start runningโ. That was eight weeks ago. I had to repeat Week 3 due to knee problems but since then I havenโt looked back.
Iโm 57 and I havenโt run since my school days. I get up early three days a week because I now want to run. If I can you can - Iโm away on holiday next week and Iโm not thinking about what restaurants I want to visit just where Iโm going to be able to run for 28 minutes. Thank you C25K you have transformed me ๐โโ๏ธ๐.

Yep me to. Watch kids do hackney 1/2. Marathon and saw lots of mature people. Before I knew where I was, I was signed up to C25K, then onto Park Runs. Will be repeating Finsbury Park
Run next Saturday. Hope I am not second to last again! However in my age range I was 3rd! Lol Iโll take that. He he
Well done you. Like you I hadnโt done any running since school days, although I do play golf, and three years ago I completed a 7k fun run. I then wanted to continue but had great opposition from my family who think I am too old to be running!! So a few weeks ago I logged onto C25k on the pretext that it is an NHS initiative and am back thoroughly enjoying my morning โjogsโ. Have had to take a week off with a minor back problem but will be back next week to continue week3/2.
Ah yes I think we need to be careful re injuries but my whole body feels much better for those runs ๐โโ๏ธ
Thank you! You just inspired me to do my first run after months of trying to coax myself into starting c25k. 52 and never run before ๐ one run down.... here I go. Wish me luck ๐
Iโm on W8 from tomorrow- it will only be a little while before you can say the same. Well done on getting started. You wonโt want to stop now โบ๏ธ. Keep us all posted!
