Hello to you my running family and first I must apologise for not being around for a couple of weeks. Work commitments, uni open days, a few days of feeling ugh 🤢, family birthdays..... the list goes in and on
But anyway, here I am 😁😁 and I’m pleased to say that the running has NOT taken a back seat!! I have still been out there in all weathers, apart from the snow over the weekend, trying to put in 3 runs in a week.
I have signed up to some virtual races which have been a really good incentive for me to get out there and run, even in the really cold days ❄️❄️ The first race that I entered rewarded me with a lovely medal and a compression top and can I say what a bloody marvellous thing they are!! I wore it yesterday for the first time and I couldn’t feel the cold and I I didn’t get hot either!! Marvellous technology in a running top!!
As for the next step of my running journey, I feel completely happy and content running 5K, sometimes a 5.5K and even the odd 6K and for me at the moment, that’s just fine. Maybe the new year will be the time to start a new challenge? 10K training maybe? Who knows!!
Despite not being on this forum for some time, I’ve realised just how much I’ve missed you all, how much I’ve missed your stories of achievement, how I’ve missed the ups and downs of fellow runners, the inspirational people that helped me on my journey, the laughs, the tears, so I’m sorry to say that you’ll be hearing from me at least once a week!!
So it gives me great joy to say “I’m back!!!!” 😁😁😁
Sending loads of running love to you all 💕💕💕💕💕

Welcome back Kimchoc, I wear a compression top as a base layer under my leathers on the bike and they do keep me warm, but running?? The bulges, nah don’t think so 😂🤣
Looking forward to your future posts, happy running 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
Yay! Lovely to hear from you Kimchoc, and that the running is going well. 3 x a week and those distances are fab. I signed up for a virtual 5k for March - a Dr Who one of all things! And hmmmmmm - am pondering 10k for spring, too. Happy running, dear. x
Ooh the Doctor Who medal looks really cool. Was thinking about that one too. Great to have you back Kim - though it sounds like you never really left. 😀
Hello, and how lovely to hear from you! I was wondering how you were getting on.
Glad to hear that the running is going well and the virtual runs sound great (I've entered a few for the new year and have my eye on a couple of real races too.... ssshhhh!!!).
Do keep dropping in as often as you can - it's always great to read your posts. xx
I never doubted you for a minute Kimchoc08 .....yes, you have been conspicuous through your abscence..but you have been a flippin TOP graduate...& I love reading your posts so I knew you hadn’t forgotten us!!! It will be our pleasure to hear from you weekly...xxx
Aah there you are Kim! Love this post, glad to see you're getting those miles into the legs. Those virtual runs are great, I might have to get the Dr Who one too looks awesome. As for the compression tops I might have to get a slightly larger one next time as the one I got through the post for a October virtual race is quite 'snug' and my frame isn't quite up to Christiano Ronaldo standards.................!
