Just wanted to say thank you to each and every one of you for your inspirational stories, funny comments and all round fabulousness!!!
My C25K journey has been anything but smooth so far. With back injury, illness and bad weather I’m certainly not as far through as I hoped I’d be by now. So I went for W5R1 last Monday after a 10 day gap of no running and was amazed at how well I felt afterwards. I was back on track. Then on Tuesday I went for my first physio appointment (to finally try and sort my back out!) and I’m not allowed to run for at least two weeks. I was so disappointed. Don’t get me wrong, I know it’s the right thing to do and he has promised me he’ll get me back running ASAP. But I really felt like just giving up. C25K just isn’t going to happen for me.
But then I came back to the forum today and you’ve all made me realise that I can and I will finish the programme. It might take me longer than I thought, but I’ll do it. So thank you again everyone (and sorry for the long, rambling post 😳) xx

Your health comes first and it can get in the way some times but you've got to listen to the physio and hopefully won't be too long before you back and running 😊
There is no point exacerbating an existing issue. Be thankful for a firm minded physio who will hopefully sort you out so that you will be at your best when you return.
I have not run for two months because of knee problems.........but I haven't given up running, just having an extended break.
Ah Nicky I know exactly how you feel 🤗. I am having to take a break too for several months but I am staying motivated through reading everyone’s posts 😀. We will be back running when the time is right for us. Rest well. Our come backs will be amazing when we get there. 💕
Nicky_F I’m sorry you have those current health challenges. You’re still absolutely a runner, you’re simply a resting runner right now, which makes you a wise person too. Sending you loads of good wishes and even if you’re walking or just sitting recovering, you’re still with your C25K people here, so stay connected 👍😉
Thank you so much. Still feels strange to refer to myself as a runner, it’s not something I ever imagined happening 😂 But that’s the power of C25K! It’s not ideal, but I need to get my back sorted and (hopefully) live a pain free life xx
