I’m due to run today but it snowed yesterday and froze last night. I’m on run 2 of week 6. Will it be ok if I only run twice this week?
I’m gutted. Haven’t missed a run yet. Really messes with my mojo

I would say take an extra rest day or two... it doesn't do any harm... rather that then you attempt it and hurt yourself x
As it does with many of us..
I get the Grumplies!!! Ice here, yesterday and today too.. so no run...but... we persevere with our core strength and our stamina exercise, on days when we cannot run.. and look forward to heading out again
The runs will still be there Keep the faith
You may lose momentum but you won't lose condition, so don't take any risks and do some core strengthening exercises instead.
It was slippery out there this morning as I made my way out to WW I went running later once it had time to thaw out My breakfast was nicely digested by then. I had to shed my run jacket but I kept my head covered and my gloves on
I echo the thoughts of IannodaTruffe by suggesting that you focus upon strength and conditioning on those nights that you're unable to run.
Consider the following: As much as you may wish to run, thus, improving cardiovascular fitness, you must also condition the body so that it remains fit to run.
All-too-often, both novice and experienced runners overlook the importance of strengthening muscles of the legs, feet, back and core, mistakenly thinking that running itself will strengthen them.
As such, when inclement weather conditions prevent you from stepping outdoors, use the opportunity to improve the strength and flexibility of those muscles that proceed to carry you, thus, reducing the risk of injury.
Since I've been a runner for over 20 years, also running barefoot regularly for the best part of a decade during summer months, I've long used the dark nights and inclement weather to re-build muscular strength in the gym, considering it my off-season.
Regular use of the StairMaster in the gym will also ensure that you're not missing out on the cardiovascular benefits that running provides, due to the effort it replicates. Although often dismissed, its continued use will also strengthen your quads and calves.
Thank you for this but I’m not a member of the gym. Are there any exercises I can do at home for the strengthening you describe?
I did run at 7 this morning when all the ice had disappeared. Glorious it was x
