Hi, I’ve completed week 1😮 found it quite hard going so going to repeat the week, is this ok to do? Also I’m really struggling to get out to run as I’m a foster carer and have twin babies, just ordered myself a treadmill so hopefully this will enable me to carry on with the program whilst babies nap🤞How have others found c25k on a treadmill? X
W1 struggling to get out. : Hi, I’ve completed... - Couch to 5K
W1 struggling to get out.
I cant speak for the treadmill, but its absolutely fine to repeat any run or any week that you like. You need to feel ready to move on.
Could be that you're just going too fast though.
Maybe slow it down (you only need to go faster than a walk for it to count, it's not a race).
Why not try week 2, but at a much, much slower pace? If it's still too hard, think then about going back to week one.
Well done for starting. What a lovely person you are fostering well done. The plan has to work for you and if you feel you need to repeat a week then do so, but if you completed each run then you are ready to move on. Others have also found having own treadmill with babies was ideal, now you just need them to nap at the same time. Good luck, keep posting. Happy running
Thank you💕 I’ve never posted on anything before so feeling really encouraged already and determined to smash this...
This forum is like no other. So friendly, helpful and we never ever get tired of encouraging and celebrating. 🥳
Well done on starting C25K. Go ahead and try week 2. I thought I should repeat weeks a couple of times but forged on and sometimes found the next week easier than the previous one. You can always repeat if it doesn’t work for you. Slow and steady. I have never used a treadmill so can’t help there. Good luck
I invested in a treadmill and it’s really helping me keep up the runs. My daughter is older, 10, so not old enough to leave but fine that I’m on the treadmill at home whilst she’s busy doing what she does! Good luck!
Treadmill is excellent, no reason not to do it now.
Good luck! 😀👍
Welcome aboard and well done for getting started.
You can of course redo any runs you wish however the plan is designed to get you through at a steady pace. It could be you pushed yourself harder than you needed to. Remember to keep all runs at a conversational pace.
A treadmill is perfectly fine, if you want to mimic outdoor conditions you can set the incline to 1% but don't worry if that makes it too hard.
Do read through the guide to the programme to get the best from it

Have fun with it and enjoy!
Good for you! I take my hat off to all our running mamas. 😄👏👏Treadmill is fine- make sure you have interesting stuff to listen to so you aren’t bored. I listen to BBC Radio 4 podcasts as well as music-the choice is endless! 😄
I would also suggest that you enjoy running outside when the opportunity arises for a change. 😄
