Hiya! I have the same issue! Itโs sooo frustrating, I canโt run on my lunch break either as I only get 30 minutes. I have been doing 2 runs on weekends through the day, but Iโm really scared about running on my own in the dark. Well not technically on my own, as my 8 yr old son comes with me as I donโt have childcare, so he is being โencouragedโ to love running too by having to join me on the couch 2 5k journey. But even so, running in the dark is still super scary. Treadmill for crimbo may well be the way forward! Sorry I havenโt been able to offer any practical advice, but at least you know youโre not alone! x
I admit Iโve let the weather stop me this week despite having a waterproof running jacket but I donโt really want to join a gym so I think Iโm just going to face the cold and rain.
Good luck with your next few runs nearly there ๐
I donโt like the gym either so will have to hope the wind and rain stays off , donโt mind the cold so much just the other elements ๐คฆโโ๏ธ thanks
I'm a cold body but warm up fast when running, so i don't mind anything but ice and snow. Ice and snow render me housebound as I have always, all my life from childhood, slipped on it. Where I live gets more than its share of ice and snow! I wish I had space for a treadmill. I would go to the gym, but i have to walk up a steep icy hill to get to it! Boo.
Early morning with the right gear can be brilliant.. I graduated the week before Christmas in 2015... and I loved the runs..
I have a cross-trainer for icy conditions, which is when I absolutely do not run. Think Bambi! I use it in my Studio, with the door open, so I can pretend I am out there
A warm hat, and gloves, and socks and a Buff, can all help to snug you up when you head out
Welcome to the week 8 club!! The early nights really do scupper is a bit eh? Keep going though and as you say, nearly at the shortest day then itโll start getting better ๐
