Completed w3r3 tonight. It was lashing with rain but I persevered and didn’t let it put me off. Felt good to get that week done. A bit apprehensive of week 4 and the five minutes runs but will give it a go on Thursday!!

Anticipation not apprehension...look forward....look forward to each and every run, knowing and believing that you are ready and strong enough for it:)

If you went out, last night, in lashing rain... nothing to fear!!

Thanks for the pep talk. Trying to become a more positive thinking person as the negative gremlins like to mess with my head. So on Thursday I will start week 4 - I may find it tough but I will do it!!

You will..... those gremlins are sneaky little devils... either ignore them.. which they loathe..or squish them with every slow and steady step!!

I just did my first week 4 run. Like you I wondered if I could run for a whole 5 mins. I could, actually with less difficulty than expected. So will you be able too I am sure. Keep us posted on how you get on.

You’ll be fine. I think it was IannodaTruffe who said to me ‘Respect each run and fear none’. That helped me when things looked daunting.

You did brilliantly...you did it and you ran in the rain. I still really struggle to run in the rain. Just seeing it puts me off! ! It is definitely the gremlins in the head which make it hard. Just remember you're bigger than them!! It does get easier. I am a few weeks post graduation. .just trying to do 2 or 3 runs a week and I do find now I am a little more confident. I don't check my watch every few minutes now. Good luck with the rest of the programme. You can and will do this x

Well done! My first week 4 run is today, and I’m feeling a little nervous too. I’m sure we’ll do it OK.

2 runs behind you Knackeredgirl, I feel your pain and your fears. (Quite literally I might add). Loads of support on here, just what a chubby 40 + something bloke needs :-)
