Yep!

Just another run and you are ready for it.. one slow and steady step in front of the other. :)

:-) Yes.

Well, W5r2 you ran 8 minutes, walked 5 minutes, ran 8 minute = 21 minutes.

Now you only have to do 20 minutes. What's the fuss???? ;-)

No, it's a mistake. Nobody has ever managed to run for that long, even if they followed a carefully graduated training plan designed for non runners.

I mean, to do that you would have to trust the plan, have belief in yourself and a totally positive attitude, so it only makes sense that it is a mistake.

All those thousands who went before you, had the same doubts and then said they had completed such a mammoth run must be liars and dissemblers. The nerve of them all, putting up posts to say that they could run for twenty minutes when they were only just over half way through the process designed to get them running for thirty minutes.

You can't trust anything these days.

You can do it.

Only asking. Won’t bother again!! Just seemed weird because the following week it’s dips down again

The following session will be the longest workout that you will have done to date, Don't discount the walking.

W6R1 catches out more people than any other in the plan.

You can do it.

Mentally it seems so ... but relatively speaking its just 4 mins more than your last run without the fast walking. Running is a physical but also a mental thing... forget the maths .. you can do this 👍🏻🙌🏻

Psst... IannodaTruffe is only trying to convince you to trust the awesomeness of the programme, using the quintessentially British weapon of sarcasm. I'd stick to his last sentence, he is wise :)

Also it doesn't really dip down much, look at the total time running, if you like. In Week 5 it goes 15, 16, 20, then week 6 run 1 is ... 18, and the walking (which does after all require effort) makes W6R1 quite long really. Also check people's posts from Week 6 to see how they found it after Week 5...

This clever program has you all ready for it. Looooaaadss of people think "What?? Eeek!!" about this one and manage fine. Go lovely and slow and relax. You will be fine. 😀

I did it 2 weeks ago and thought the same. Don't know why but it turned out to be easier than the 2 X 8s, must be designed to get is over the psychological hurdle of doing longer runs - I'm now 2 weeks on and did a 30 minutes yesterday even though it was a 25 by the program so it must have worked. Go for it!

Totally remember having a sneaky peak at the week ahead and reading the shocking news. OMG. No way! But you can. You will. Amaze yourself. xx

Absolutely agree. I struggled with this too in fact it took me 4 goes to overcome running for 20 minutes. I have now moved on to week 6 run 1 which I intend to do at least 3 times before I move on....
