Running with a moonlight shawdow

W7R2 with an almost-full moon to light my way. I faltered for a few seconds in the first couple of minutes but kept going. Just! Having said that, I just checked it through a map thingy and I did 4.4km, including the 5min warmup walk but not the cool-down!

Lovely! You are a night runner! I get to see the moon in the mornings. 🌝

I find the first 5 mins of every run a mental challenge, but after that, I find my pace and ease into it. Takes time for the ole oxygen to flow and reach your legs. (Note: not science, just me guessing 😀) Good work, keep it up! 👏🏃‍♀️

Night running is the only way I can stop myself overheating... hot flushes are my companion!

Well done that lady.

The moon is pretty spectacular here tonight, I agree.

I remember in my first winter of running, heading out into the black morning, with black long sleeved top and gloves, long black leggings, black buff and a headtorch and wondering if the police would actually believe I was an innocent runner, rather than a cat burglar or peeping Tom.

I have never burgled a cat or peeped a Tom in my life!!

Is that why some runners wear such bright colours!!

Ooh! Just checked mapmyride and it seems that 5min walk + 25min running was enough for me to cover 4.4km. Is that “good” pace?

That is a good pace I believe, well done!

That's a brilliant distance, well done on keeping going 🏃‍♀️

Excellent distance, but don't get caught up on distance at this point in the programme, it's an achievement in itself to run for 25minutes. You're doing so well. That podium is not far off. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Nice... Presume you listened to "I'm being followed by a moon shadow"

Cat Stevens sang Moonshadow back in 1971

I thought you might have listened to Moonlight Shadow by Mike Oldfield with Maggie Reilly (1983 possibly, I vaguely remember).
