Running with a phone??

Wondering if anyone has any tips to running with your phone? I’ve tried a bum-bag (bounces around and annoying) I’ve tried an arm strap (phone too big and kept falling down) so tonight I just held it and it’s just irritating! Has anyone had any success with a running belt? I need something big enough for my IPhone X max and my keys. I do use an Apple Watch to track but it never seems to work playing my music when I leave my phone at home 🙈🔑

I bought the Eono waist pack from Amazon, it was under £10 and I don't notice it at all when I run. It takes my iPhone 6+, not sure how much bigger a X max is. Maybe look at the reviews on the site?

I also bought one of these, it’s literally a belt with pockets. As for the phone the newer iPhones are all screen on the front which helped Apple to keep the size similar to that of the plus models so your phone will fit fine in it 😊

I used to run with my phone and just hold it and it was very annoying. I even started to get a sore neck because I think holding it was making my arms and shoulders lopsided when I fan. I just use my Apple Watch now, and it plays my music fine. Have you downloaded the music to your watch? If so you should be able to connect your headphones to the watch via Bluetooth and it should play without the phone?

Have you tried swinging your bum bag around to your back? That might help? I don’t find mine a bother at the front though, I have a hunter armour one.

I use an arm strap from Flying Tiger...cheap but works well.

I always buy running shorts which have an elasticated pocket big enough for my iPhone max. On one type the phone goes in a vertical pocket on my hip and on another type in a zip pocket at the back, both work well as the phone doesn’t move.

I use a belt which hold two small water bottles (left & right) & also a pocket for my phone - it doesn't move!

I wear a cycling top that has 3 pockets at the back. Perfect size for a phone and it doesn’t move. Keys in another and a spare pocket you can put a tissue in. It’s been working well apart from a couple of days it was very hot.

Marks and Spencr have some great leggings with a phone pocket on the hip/top of leg - works brilliantly.

Flipbelt. Expensive but works well and washes great. Comes in variety of sizes and colours.

I bought my daughter in law a flipbelt, she loves it. I wish I'd bought myself one instead of a bumbag.

🙋 Hello! Sweaty Betty leggings also have a large pocket on the left leg for your phone and a little zip pocket on the rear waistband for a key. They are ££ but I get them when on sale. Great leggings! 😁

I’m not as technical as the others..I just tuck mine into the waist band of my leggings- good thing they are a snug fit. Only a couple of occasions it’s slid inside down my leg!! 😬

I bought a Nike phone pouch that fits around upper arm. They are very common.

Now got a Garmin for my birthday, brill. It syncs with my phone when I get home after a run. It also transfers to Nike and Strava apps.

I made a phone holder out of a pair of my husband's walking socks! Cut the foot off one sock and added the cuff off the other, then added a bit of the other as the pocket. I used my sewing machine and added a toggle thing just in case I ended up doing handstands and the phone fell out. It's great although it does fill my whole arm from elbow to armpit. It's comfortable, has never slipped, could also hold my key if need be, is washable and was completely free - except for the sacrificed socks!

Oh That's brilliant. I've been thinking of making a holder for my iPod out of an old sock and sewing it to the top of my running leggings. I tried it in the waistband pocket at the back, but it was a hot day and it got a bit damp!

Hi. I bought an eono running belt from amazon and it’s brilliant. It fits my iPhone 8 Plus and keys and it doesn’t move at all. Would definitely recommend it and it’s less than £10!

Flipbelt when it's warmer.

I have a lightweight running jacket from M and S that has zipped pockets that fit my phone, that's great for the cooler weather.

Leggings with a pocket ! Simple but great, I have a iPhone max and it’s fits easily in with my keys.

I have sweaty Betty leggings which are a crazy price but wear really well so def worth it.

I also have the eono belt and it’s great for iPhone plus and door key. The neoprene pocket expands to fit the phone snugly so it doesn’t move around.

Same as Clairabell, I tuck mine inside my snug fitting leggings. Has to be against my skin, inside my knickers, too or it slides down! When I leave home I just hide my keys in the garden but sssshhh don’t tell anyone!!

If you're interested in Leggings with a pocket on the thigh they don't have to be ££ from brands previously mentioned. I have pairs from H&M and Mountain Warehouse.
