Out on Hallowe'en early in the evening and oh my gosh the streets are crawling with little ghosties and witches and skeletons and things that go bump in the night demanding treats. A little boy in a skeleton suit literally ambushed me, jumping out from behind a tree, shaking his little pumpkin-shaped goodie-bucket in frenzied excitement, no doubt fuelled by masses of radioactive sweeties. I had to leap out of his way like a startled goat as his mum rolled her eyes and tried to keep up with him. I changed my route tonight and unwisely ended up running on a rather busy road, not good for the lungs I fear. I started slow, and gradually increased the pace, always keeping comfortable, breathing steadily and enjoying the rhythm. I did give it a burst in the last minute though and it was as close to a sprint as I'm ever likely to get...
I didn't see any zombies though, or gremlins. It was fun! Looking forward to R2 which will have to be on Friday so 2 days off! I have also booked some beginners yoga classes to improve flexibility and breathing patterns. And yes I will be firmly at the back. And I've paid so I'll have to go!
