Dies anyone else HAVE to run on a Sunday?

I feel like if I don't run on a Sunday morning, I won't fit in my three runs in the week. I've become really precious about it.

I've started the podcasts for speed and stamina since graduating and im finding them spot on for now.

I've promised myself I will do at least two park runs before the end of the year so I've ordered a Booty DVD to strengthen my glutes. I think running is taking over my mind and body! 😃

Sunday is my favourite run day...Long, slow and just me... mind, there is often just me anyway.. except for the wildlife in the fields..:)

Been a tad pavement bound lately.. short on time.. but tomorrow ..I shall be out there:)The podcasts are great.. stamina and speed my favourites... mind, I did speed yesterday and was slower than when I run normally... a muddy field was not a good route :) Fun though :)

Enjoy your run and maybe try these exercises out too :)

I love my Sunday runs. There is something so serene and peaceful about them. 😊

Yes and it's my best and most enjoyable run of the week. No pressure of time 😊

Yep - Sunday is Runday, especially now it’s my only daylight one. I’d love to do parkrun but if I only do 5k on a Saturday, my weekly mileage will be too low and I’ve not been running for long enough to do consecutive days yet. I long to be able to do parkrun on a Saturday and a long, slow run on a Sunday. Maybe one day...

Are you following a specific programme since graduating?

Gabby08 profile image

No - just one day of interval training, one short-ish but fast-ish run and one where I add on my 10 percent distance. I also have a ‘rest’ week every fourth week where I don’t add anything on.

Sounds good! And your own personal programme 😁

I normally do Tuesday, Friday and Sunday but this week did Thursday so I could do a park run today. This running is definitely addictive but it means I have to get organised to fit it in with everything else 😂

Yes me too. How did the park run go?

I have three children so have massive guilt about taking time out to run on a weekend. I work full time on a compressed week so have Mondays and Thursdays which are longer run days during school hours. I aim to get a parkrun done on a saturday early so not to impact too much on family time although i usually have one child running with me these days! Tomorrow I am running poppy run 5k with all three children so a family affair!

My running days vary, depending on what else I have going on. I always feel a bit guilty if I run on a Sunday and can't fit church in, though. ;-)

Sundays are great if you are in an urban or semi-urban setting, the first half of the day is quite traffic free here and that makes it nicer to run

I'm with you on this for whatever reason Sunday is runday, although for reasons of commitments I had to run yesterday and it wasn't quite the same. I also develop mini-grumps if we have a social Saturday night and I know it will be late finishing.... how on earth did that happen?

Yes me too 🤣 we are creatures of habit I guess. Running is becoming a major priority.

Yes I spent at least an hour looking at running tops on the web... who knew they could be that engrossing?😀

One week I run Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday and the second week I run Saturday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I feel like I NEED to run every second day or I start to get twitchy 🏃

in reply toSarah_lou18

Know what you mean twitchy running is not a good idea👟
