Week 5 Run 3. ..... Wow, What have I learned so far?

I ran today for a whole 20 minutes and I feel great about this modest achievement.

Measuring progress each day is a bit tricky but I know for sure that I could not have done that a few weeks ago.

So what have I learned?

(1) Tech can be fiddly. Last few runs I've just carried my phone. Bluetooth earphones are brilliant.

(2) I travel quite a bit and getting out of the hotel for a run allows you to explore a bit. Photo is the Rhein bridge in Mainz where I ran tonight.

(3). Getting out for a run also means less time in hotel bars with means less cost and less booze.

(4) Running outside is much more fun than in the gym

(5) Nice and steady gets the job done

(6) Posts from others whether following me or not are a great inspiration. KEEP POSTING!

Thankyou!

Your modest achievement is something that most in the Western world could not achieve...........not without a few weeks training.

Be proud of this milestone.

The benefits from running come in all shapes and from so many different sources and it is great that you are identifying some at this relatively early stage.

Keep running, keep smiling.

Congratulations on your run and what a beautiful picture! ☺

Try the beach at low tide or great cliff top run round Baggy Point.

20 mins a "modest achievement"?! If & when I get to that stage I'll be so impressed with myself I'll be grinning from ear to ear. In the meantime, I'm impressed with you - well done, John!
