Well, week 9 run 1 is done! And it felt OK actually! I really pushed the pace at the end too which was fun but I was pleased it was all over at the 30 minutes!
I was wondering what apps you all use to measure your distance. I'm using Google Fit but it seems really unreliable. Today it says I covered 4.61km but I know that I ran at least 600m further than last week when I was told I'd run 4.5km!
Any advice would be gratefully received as I really find logging my distance and seeing me improve is a big motivator. I know that I ran the furthest I've run tonight (I normally do the same route & turn around half way) but it'd just be nice to find an app that's going to be reliable and give me proof!

Fitbits do not have the best reputation for accuracy.
Runkeeper, Endomondo, Strava, Mapmyrun etc. all have free smartphone apps which will be as accurate as the GPS unit in your phone. They are all good with slightly different strengths, depending on your requirements.
Dedicated running watches are the better, though more expensive option.
Well done, that's my next run - looking forward to it.
As for run trackers, my smart? watch stopped 20 minutes into today's 28 minute run ( I didn't notice until the end of the run) and the app on my phone wouldn't stop......doh!
I ended up checking the distance on Google Maps and found that I had run just short (4.96km) of 5k.....Grrrr!
Me too Feegle ! I checked my distance when I got home and look like I hit 5k which I am delighted with but just wish my phone was a little more accurate! I'll try another app and see if that improves things.
I use runkeeper. It's great, always seems to be accurate for me, even when I'm running around a country park and not along streets.
Best reason though? My friends use it. Find out what your friends use and link up with them on the app. You can like and comment in each other's runs and it really motivates me to get out if I can see that a friend has run when I know I should be too! I know that map my run and runkeeper definitely link with friends but others might too.
