I needed some distance from yesterday's run. I'm treading water in week 8 waiting for Duck to catch up...

I decided to forgo taking Michael with me - maybe that was a mistake (don't tell him I said that) I figured I'd just run until the timer ran out. We had a carb laden weekend maybe that attributed to it. Or maybe it just being a girl and girlie stuffs. But I had to stop just over half way through to stretch out my back for a few seconds, I carried on yesterday but I didn't enjoy it. and for the first time since W1R1 I was violently sick afterwards and I really badly wanted to nap all day.

According to the Nike app my general speed was slightly slower, although quicker and more level at the start (first 10) than I have been. I seem to be peaks and troughs which may be due to cambers on the paths/inclines. but it was a slightly steadier run which i'm going to take as a positive.

It's a practice run, its still done me good despite it not being kind to me...yeah that's still all I can pull positive wise on this one. it just felt like an expensive run energy wise.

Way to go getting out there while you wait on Duck.

Did you just do a run on a timer? You may find the guided runs better... then you’ll have a friendly distraction in your ears... they have all times, so there’s at least one 28 minute run.

It was a sucky run... it still built strength and fitness... next one will be better.

:) yeah I could just have sent him out on his own...but that wouldn't have been kind. Solidarity in numbers and all that jazz.

I used the nike run club quick start run. but the lass on that doesn't pipe up as often as Michael. And I don't know her name so I don't know who I was swearing at. Little intimidated by all the choices for guided runs in the app.

Coach Bennett is really good... on some of them he never shuts up 😂

Also you can change the interval for updates on QuickStart runs

Good for you for getting out there 👍 shame about the 🤮 certainly not a nice end to the run. Maybe the whole thing felt rotten because you are fighting a bug? Or perhaps it's just one of thoseen shitty runs that comes along.

Fingers crossed you have a better run next time.

And a bug thumbs up for waiting for Duck. I'm not sure I would be so magnanimous if it were one my friends and the podium so close 😜

Thanks Jogunlikey! I think it was just wasn't my day to run, tomorrow will be better!

Ahh he repeated week 1 with me when I couldn't do it so despite the finish being in tantalisingly close we will share the victory, he is my better half after all :D :D :D

not far now!!! just a couple more repeats to go till duck is caught up.

I think the nausea was just hormonal in hindsight...fingers crossed :D:D
