So....headphones in, chin up, shoulders back....I am going to the park to do Week 6...that’s what I’m doing, Week 6...a run, a walk, a run, a walk, a run, a walk...done...oh no, not as simple as that is it??? Scrolled down to Week 6...& he’s there, the man I virtually love, his gorgeous voice speaking to me reassuringly, oh how I’ve missed this fella...off we go on our warm up walk...I wanted to replay the intro again just to hear his voice for a bit longer!! Ok, 5 minutes is up, time to start running...thats all I heard...after about 5 minutes I thought ‘aren’t I supposed to be walking now?’ So I checked the app & in my excitement at being reunited with Mr Smooth I’d accidentally clicked on Week flippin 7...for gods sake...I’d set off like a chuffin whippet aswell because I actually heard Oldfloss shout “whoa Mummycav, what you doing, that is TOO fast, slow down, this is not what I’ve taught you!!!” So I stopped...out of breath...maybe I should’ve had a quick squirt of my inhaler before I set off?? Anyway, puts on Week 6...reluctantly skips the intro as I’d already ‘warmed’ up & off I went..comfortably running all the runs, although the stopping & starting makes is much harder & again, I think because you know there’s a walk coming up you’re waiting for it, whereas when it’s the longer 25/28/30 min runs, you get into the rhythm better...walk down walk...Fitbit stopped...sees a friend, starts to chat, even though I am like a marker from space to show where Yorkshire is..after saying goodbye to my friend I walk Home, eager to see my distance, time etc....but oh no?? I forgot to stop mapmyrun...so it says I did 2.82 miles in 50 minutes, that can’t be right as I was talking for at least 15 minutes!!! So I checked my Fitbit & it said I’d done 5.68 Kms in 1 hour, 2 mins & 29 seconds...Christ, I’m not that slow!!! all I wanted to do today was Week 6 & see how far I got...!!! But, I’ll never know!!! as Bluebirdrunner says, I was out there running, strengthening my legs...so attempt number two on Wednesday...!!!!
