Funny how one night run is a breeze, you get all confident & feel you got it, then the next run only two days later, brings you down with a bump!!

Still managed 5k about (35mins)

Note to self, don’t get too confident!!! Lol

Hope you’re all having a great running wknd.

Thinking about doing my first park run soon!!

Ha ha...yep, typical that...cock o the north I felt...huh, not for long!!! Blooming practice runs take care of that!!! Never mind, we have to bag the distance & stamina & take it with us next time...5k in 35 mins is excellent though!!

hmmm, can't wait to be brought "down" to 5K in 35 minutes ... ;) but yes it's funny how runs can all be so different!

Wasn’t meaning the time was bad, just the fact it felt hard & had to really focus on it, to finish.

My previous one felt “easy” and I felt like I could have run for much longer.

More of a come down mentally rather than physically.

You are doing 5k...that’s fantastic, no matter what the time....just brilliant Lisaloopy9 x

I think it was the wise GingerBohemian of this parish who said "the only reason you are having a bad run is because you are out there running." and described his bad run as "fantastic" :D. I was only teasing about the time - a bad run where you still ran 5K is amazing.

Brains are funny things though! Now you've learnt that even when it feels so difficult you can focus and power on through to the end. Well done!

I know what you mean. I felt the same with my last 5k run but I realized there are a lot of factors that can influence how "good" or "bad" a run may feel. I had not eaten well the day before, had only 2 1/2 hours of sleep and the run 2 days prior was a speed interval workout. All resulted in my 5k run feeling harder than it had in a while. But that is one of many runs and the next will be better 🙂

Carrying on when the run is tough -respect. We all love the easy runs, but we really earn our stripes on the hard ones. Tough day, but you didn't quit. You may not have enjoyed the run but you sure as hell bossed it.

We have good runs and we have "bad" runs. But don't forget, even the so-called "bad" runs are doing you good! I so struggled with a run last week - heavy legs, panting like an overweight Labrador. This morning's run was fun, and so much easier - no idea why!

I am thinking of doing my first park run soon, too! Keep on running. 🏃‍♀️😀

Don’t know why a park run seems a ‘big thing’ to me? Bit scared!!

Let me know how u get on?

Good luck 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

I feel the same! I think a lot of people feel a bit anxious about their first PR, but the reports after are always positive! I am going to get a fair few more 30 mins under me belt then give it a go. Will of course report back, Lisa! Please do the same! x
