Well I surprised myself just now by running a full 8 minutes non stop x 2.
Ohhhh don't get me wrong, at the beginning of the 2nd 8 minute run my legs went through a stage were they seem to of had the brain and I could feel them wanting to stop. Now I see why at this stage it's more mental than anything else.
Gave my legs a good talking to because I didn't do the 1st 8 minute run for nothing. Few seconds later and the eye of the tiger in my ears playing, they were behaving themselves again.
Everytime I complete a run I am amazed. I take my hat off to the designer of this programme, I really do.
So that's another run done and dusted.
The whopper next.... 20 mins. Hmmmmm. Will try not to think about that one too much. I'm sure one way or another I'll be fine.
Good on you Donna getting them legs going again. I always find it interesting how the mind plays tricks on me. Sometimes I feel like I cannot possibly continue. Then after I overcome the mind telling me to stop I feel okay. It works over you accept you can do it.
Thanks guys.
The mind really is a complex but strong thing.
I remember the exact point today where my legs were about to stop moving without me even realising it. It would've been so easy and natural to stop at that point but I remembered what Mr Johnson said at the beginning of the run. It's more mental now.
I am just utterly amazed at how fast I recover too. This time 4 weeks ago I thought I would've been bending down and panting like a thirsty dog after this run but it's never like that. I'm getting fitter and I can actually see the improvements now.
