Wk4 run1

First time I've posted, my routine has become complete the run and then look on here for tips and to see how others are doing. I was worried heading into this week as it seemed a leap but I am so pleased with how it went! Running on a morning definitely goes better for me than trying to run after a day at work! It's really helped looking on here and picking up the tips and advice on how others are achieving the runs so thank you! Not sure how well I'd be doing without this group and seeing all the other posts in here. Actually looking forward to the next run!!!

Pleased to see it! Well done. I have just finished week 3 and am antsy/nervous/excited/terrified of starting week 4 the day after tomorrow! How did you find week 3 out of interest?

A mixture. The first one went ok, the middle one I felt went badly and was disappointed with myself and the last one better again. I saw a post about how there's no such thing as a bad run and some are harder than others fir no ibvious reason which made me feel better. Either way I made it through which I kept reminding myself. The worry for me was after finding 3 mins hard how I would make the leap to 5 but my ability to pace appears to finally be kicking in. I had to do the first 2 after work but did the last one earlier in the day. Personally for me going out earlier in the day seems to be more successful.

Me too. I run before work in the week, but at the weekends if I put it off till later in the day, it's definitely much harder. I think I read it's to do with hormone fluctuations through out the day, and we are primed in the morning to exercise. Anyway, well done again.

I tend to be that peeson that lurks and reads the comments without posting but its a definite help seeing how others are doing and their tops for making it through!

Looking forward is way better than looking frightened ... seriously you're building run by run and so you should be fine. Just keep to your happy pace and you'll do it nicely and steadily...
