Anyone Else on Week 9 This Week?

Looking for an extra push to get me through the final week :)

I have been a lurker on here for the entire time I have been doing C25K and find the community so lovely and supportive.

My partner and I have a funny thing we do before I run and we just say how much I love running and how good it is. Puts me in the right mindset to get out there (If anyone heard us they would think we're crazy, obviously) but it really works for me!

Is anyone else looking to graduate this week?! Let me know your tips and stratergies.

🍏Welcome to our Forum & well done for getting to Week 9. It’s such a momentous week! If you just take it slowly & enjoy it you will come through with flying colours because you love running!

These longer runs are to strengthen both your body & your mind. You are already a runner & every run you have done, has prepared you for this week.

Let us know when you graduate!! We will be waiting at the finish line 🏁 🙌

Welcome... there will; be a lot of people around nearly at that finish line.

After you do reach the podium, do then take a look at the Graduate's chat. There will be folk there whim you can share ideas with!

Just talk it slow and steady and now you have found us, why not stay around as you move on!

Hi Oldfloss! I've been reading a lot of posts and replies from you and would like to take the chance to say thank you for all you've done for myself and others.

I'll see you in the Graduate's chat! 🏃‍♀️

I think your pre run strategy is great! What a good bit of self talk. I might adopt it!

Thanks for your reply! You should! I even involve my poor mother and say "Guess what day it is, running day! We love it!" 🤪

Week 9 for me too! Just one run left to go and can’t believe how far I’ve come. I’m leaving an extra rest day as the weather looks finer where I am tomorrow and I have a less hectic day so can take some time after to reflect on my achievement.

It will also be the first run I’ve recorded so I get to see if I’ve truly made it from couch to full 5k or not. I see that as a starting point to build from.

Enjoy your final week and well done for getting here, I now know and respect only too well the dedication it took to make it.

Yay! Fellow lurker here. I'm also in Week 9; two runs left. W9R1 (two days ago) was one of the most enjoyable yet - I felt like I could keep going after Laura announced the 30 minutes were up! But yesterday I got my dual flu- and Covid shots and currently feel a bit out of it (barely slept last night) so I might take another rest day today and go for a Thanksgiving run tomorrow :-)

Good luck!

I am also week 9. Did the 1st run ok but next Sunday had sore hips and knees. So am taking an extra rest day and doing more stretching and knee exercises today. Bit of a knock to the confidence though😔. Good luck to you though!
