Oh this made me smile so much. As a teenager of the 80s those songs are such a stroll down memory lane. When I started running I looked for playlists to keep motivated but all it did was make me feel old because I didn't recognise any of the artists or bands. Lol. My current choices include Tom Petty, Survivor, Pat Benetar and a bit of Bon Jovi thrown in just to keep the feet moving. Great website too! Lots of fun to read X
Thanks - other than when I can't run (aargghhh again) it's fun to do the playlists, because I forgot so much music I had loved and put to the back of my mind... For instance Thompson Twins...
You see I am now thinking Survivor and Pat Benatar may have to go in next week...
What is frustrating is it's not even running or exercise related... Stupid Tart Syndrome - twice in just over a month.... Hey ho. hoping to run again Tuesday...
Your so right maybe you should have drunk more Prosecco it might have relaxed you a bit more and could have played what we used to call bendy men when every muscle seem to give up
oooh er missus, hope the twinges you sustained on your little trips heal soon! I shall be sad (if more productive) if you can't run and write as much ... Love the blog!
Thanks - I enjoy writing it but it is more fun when I'm running, still if I am lucky two runs in the big smoke this week.... Main thing is the twinges have to have gone ho hum
Great list Jan! Thanks for the mention😁 Hope those twinges sort themselves soon. Its frustrating, for sure. Whatever the acronym for male STS, I'm sure I qualify, based on the number of things I forget to do, so you are not alone!
Now to think 70s glam. I know lots of 70s, just not sure if it is glam or not 😀 Here is a good starting point: youtube.com/playlist?list=P...
STS is not reserved for you ladies I can assure you, as Decker suggests there must be a male acronym available! Perhaps 'Where's your head at' by Bassment Jaxx will find it's way onto the list, certainly helped me after a face full of branches and a particularly testing uphill plod in the dark! Looking at an upcoming curb with a head torch is useful but looking up again to find fast approaching uncut hedgerows isn't so much!
Actually I agree with you on STS - Mr JCR suffers from it from time to time..... okay Basement Jaxx a later list I think, after the 70s am thinking of dad dancing classics... like Come On Eileen that kind of thing...
