Week 9 Run 1

Morning All,

Am just back from my first run of week 9. It was quite tough but that was in part due to another failure with the app :(

Miss. Millican has let me down again and I am considering divorce proceedings. She stopped talking to me after 20 mins which meant that I carried on unintentionally beyond 30 minutes. My legs were shouting "seriously, how much longer?" So when I finally managed to extract my phone from the pocket of my jacket which was now tied round my waist to check and found that not only had I finished but I was now at 36 minutes and the app had also failed to record my run I was less than impressed.

Anyway technology failures aside it wasn't a bad run, it was a chilly, windy autumnal morning and my neon clouds carried me well today and we covered over 3 miles so I'm well chuffed :)

  • Wow! 3 miles and 36 mins - that is awesome 😀 You've just proved you don't need the app - I'm having to manage without it while my phone is being mended and I certainly prefer measuring the time with my music. Two more runs to go...!

  • Thank you, yes the downhill section on the way home definitely helped. 2 more to go - seems unreal but fab x

  • I love downhill.. I once ( shh) managed a 3K in 18 minutes.. downhill and a tail wind :)

    PS

    Long after Graduation...:)

  • I think you are doing brilliantly .. your probably ran much further.. darned technology!

Your noo shoos would certainly brighten this dull day. Torrential rain and high winds here on the Welsh coast!

Go you... keep it slow and steady as ever and.... oooooo ! Getting oh, so close now!

  • Nice run, shame about the tech. But you knew what you'd done and that is the main thing
