After yesterday’s planned lunch time walk being a wash out. I wasn’t expecting much from today’s weather. Expected I’d have to push myself to get it the door. But I’m shocked, it’s sunny and warm! Well warm for north of England in October anyway. So here was the result. Was hard going at times but really pleased to report that legs, knees, ankles are all ok! Got to love what our bodies can do. With just over 7 Months to the Great Manchester Run I’m starting to feel confident that I’ll make it to 10km and in decent time. Love love love running 🏅🏃🏼♀️🏃🏼♀️🏃🏼♀️
A beautiful autumn day: After yesterday’s... - Couch to 5K
A beautiful autumn day
well done you.... okay I give up when is the birthday i have googled and can only narrow it down to October...
Ha ha well it was number 1 for 3 weeks including the first week of November so it was only ever going to give you a window 😂 25th October I’ll officially become a ‘veteran’ in running terms as I’ll be 35 x
Good to see you back in good running health mate, if you are going to be a veteran at 35, there's no hope for me. Are you doing the Manchester 10k on 20th May?
Yes I am. I signed up just after I started C25k. It’s always been my target but now I’m aiming higher by planning to do the Manchester HM in October next year! Fancy joining too? This years is on Sunday so I’m not sure how long after then it’ll open for next years applicants.
And yes I’m running terms 35+ is veteran. You’ll be glad to know that is the highest it goes. After that it’s 5yr groupings. If you look at your PR results you’ll see your age category. I’m currently SW30-34 (senior Woman) and I’m moving into VW35-39.
Just looked and last year pre-registration opened just before Christmas.
Well done you... feeeeeel the love
My God you are doing amazingly! You absolutely will do it I have no doubt. More power to you, you go girl!
