So I'm finally here... it's taken me a year to finally get my head and my aching knees and bad back to this point. Excited but more nervous as don't want to let myself down. Got my plan and heading out today for my FIRST day. Wish me luck.. but will NOT give up.

Good luck, you can do this.
Good luck and welcome aboard! The app sat on my phone for a year too, I hope you get as much satisfaction and have as much fun with it as I did. You'll get all the support you could ever need here!
Woo hoo...you have got soooo much to look forward to...I could have a touch of envy at the thought of what is to happen to you over the next few weeks...& I say few because it literally flies by...even if you feel you have to repeat certain runs..they still count towards building up stamina & mileage....start off slow & steady, listen to your body...you’re not training for the olympics so there’s no rush at all...keep posting & looking on here for tips, advice & encouragement, read over other people’s journeys that might help prepare you for certain runs...good luck & happy running 🤞🏻💪🏻👍🏻
Good luck and well done on starting your journey, let us all know how you get on
Hey zbrown... good luck with the your first run... be warned though...the couch to 5k should carry a warning ⚠️... it is highly addictive... it only takes one run and your hooked ...just say YES...
Your back and knees will thank you (I know of which I speak!) - but take it slowly. Good luck.
Oh welcome fellow putter offer. I’m to do run 3 of wk1 today and already I have Runner’s hypochondria which in my case amounts to sudden attacks of pains in the feet that could mean I shouldn’t run today! Anyway reading these posts pre run always helps me and in some way acts as my silent conscience if I feel like backing out. I’d like to follow your journey to see how you get on
Good luck
Ha ha, but I ignored them and have completed wk 1 such a small step but what a sense of accomplishment. Especially when on my warm down walk I met a lady who asked me if I’d run from somewhere that is 12 miles away - look the part be the part is my motto, or maybe it was the red face that gave me away.
Thank you for the support and feedback; how lovely!!!
I'm PROUD of myself for completing week one! Even though I have a knee problem, I ran at a good pace and it did not cause any pain so was happy about that. Looking forward to week 2 but bit nervous about longer run durations later on.. but keep going.
Back soon....
