It's all over ;-). I'M A GRADUATE ;-)

Well, it was an unpromising start. I left the London office in early December and facing a mile walk to my hotel looked through my iPhone for something to listen to. I finally decided that after several months (actually years) of gathering dust I should at least listen to the first of Laura's incantations and see how bad it was. Somehow, a few minutes later I was shuffling along the banks of the Thames at an indecent walking pace, but thankfully it was dark and cold and no one knew me .....

Since then there have been a number of 'highs' (me - 20 minutes !!!) and a few lows that I won't bore you with, but tonight I finally completed Week 9, Run 3, (5.26 Km in 32 min 13 seconds to be precise) so that's the end of me & Laura. Can't help thinking it will be a bit strange to run to music I like and without her nagging / encouraging every so often, but I hope I can get used to it.

Still can't really believe that I actually did it ;-)

Now, where do I get that glorious little green badge from ......

What a fab story! How brave you are to have just taken off there and then. Do you have any goals for the future or will you settle into the loveliness of running for pleasure?

Thanks everyone. Not sure I'd have stuck with it without the encouragement from all the

blogs so please keep chatting !

Think I'll stick to 5K for the moment and see if I can get a little bit quicker, but the warmer weather might tempt me to go a bit further / longer.

(And thanks to the web site elves for delivering my shiny new badge ;-)
