Well, it was an unpromising start. I left the London office in early December and facing a mile walk to my hotel looked through my iPhone for something to listen to. I finally decided that after several months (actually years) of gathering dust I should at least listen to the first of Laura's incantations and see how bad it was. Somehow, a few minutes later I was shuffling along the banks of the Thames at an indecent walking pace, but thankfully it was dark and cold and no one knew me .....
Since then there have been a number of 'highs' (me - 20 minutes !!!) and a few lows that I won't bore you with, but tonight I finally completed Week 9, Run 3, (5.26 Km in 32 min 13 seconds to be precise) so that's the end of me & Laura. Can't help thinking it will be a bit strange to run to music I like and without her nagging / encouraging every so often, but I hope I can get used to it.
Still can't really believe that I actually did it
Now, where do I get that glorious little green badge from ......

Congratulations, it feels amazing doesn't it. Your badge may just appear but if not email admin and they will fix it for you. Keep going now and think of the next goal.
What a fab story! How brave you are to have just taken off there and then. Do you have any goals for the future or will you settle into the loveliness of running for pleasure?
