Well finally I have made it. This morning I have completed the Couch to 5k program with my final Week 9 Run 3 done at the Bedford ParkRun.
I ran the whole way, no walking or stopping. Slow and steady all the way. I was lapped by men in little shorts but I didn't care I finished just under 42 minutes which I think is very respectable and I feel fab.
The Co-Op handed me a free food box at the end and everyone was really welcoming and friendly.
Then if that wasn't enough I have just got back from SW and I had lost another 4.5lb this week so I also got my 1.5 stones and Club 10% lost awards.
As I said what a terrific start to my Saturday and weekend. Huge grin right now ;0)

I am pleased to hear that as you have a wonderful smile. Next Sunday is the Milton Keynes Poppy Run for me so another 5k but I know I can do it now yippee!
Wow! And look at your lovely happy face! Congratulations. You have put the work in, and are reaping the rewards. Well done on your weight loss, too. What with that, and the running achievements, you must feel so good! ππππ
Those men in little shorts ! I never really feel they get their money's worth, its barely worth turning up for 17-18 minutes of running. 42 mins - now you're talking, that's a proper run ! Well done all round.
Thank you. If you have read any of my previous posts you will see I very much take slow and steady the advice of the wonderful Oldfloss very much literally lol x
Brilliant. Congrats on your graduation and what a great start to a weekend.
Your post is inspiring as I have 2 runs left to do but have fallen off the SW wagon seriously in the last couple of weeks. Definitely getting back on track now. Well done again and thanks for posting!
Thank you. Keep going with the runs. You can and will do it.
I think with SW the key is not to think of it as a diet but more a permanent change to the way we eat. My Saturday this time last year was large pizza, strictly, bottle of wine. Tonight it's steak, jacket & salad, strictly, vodka & diet coke. Still really enjoy it but much better for me ;0)
Thank you. You will love it I did. Such a great atmosphere, so many people, all different ages and abilities. Was great sense of community. Good luck ;0)
