Well! I've done it. I have just completed my 10k run which is 6.214 miles apparently.
So I decided that I would put my Garmin into miles. I think for me it's mind over matter.Reaching the 6mile marker seems for me easier to think about. So when I get to 3miles I just tell myself I've only got another 3 then I've done it yippee! And that's exactly what I did. 🤓🤓
The time however was slow but I'm not too bothered as I can hopefully improve on that. To be honest my goal today was to get my 10k/6miles (which ever way you want to say it) under my belt and I did.😛😛
I did it on my treadmill as I knew that I would not be able to achieve it outside where I live .This is because as you all will remember me writing on numerous occasions about how hilly it is !and many inclines! So I achieved my aim today and this is the way I did it.
Now I just have to improve on my time.My speed was between 6 and 6.5 deliberately as I knew that any higher a speed I would not have achieved my aim.I also walked for 5 mins so did not stop at all. My overall run was 1hour 36 mins. My pace was slow as well
So my question now is Do I become a graduate10? Pleeeease! 😀😀
