Can’t run 😢🤒

I was on a roll, getting out there for a run every other day, loving it. Then I ended up with a cold which ended up turning into a chest infection 😫😫😫

So it looks like it’ll be another week till I can run again and will have to build up my stamina.

I’ve already done w1 twice and think I’ll be doing it again!!

Don't worry Molly, you will soon be back pounding the streets, you try and rest until that infection has gone.

Ah well, it happens to us all. Just get back out there. You could try picking up where you left off and see how it goes

Don't get hung up on repeats. You don't have to keep redoing runs. You can move on 🙂✔️

Never give up!! Life throws things at us but we can get back out there!! Nothing wrong with starting again! You can do it😊

Oh no poor you, still it's proving one thing you're certainly committed, coming back again and again, despite setbacks.

Me too, didn't even get to running for a minute before I had a huge coughing fit. Don't worry, it may take longer but we will do it!

I caught a cold followed by a chest infection in week 5, took weeks to clear then lacked the motivation as didn't want to go back to week 1, but eventually I did, grumbled through the first few weeks again, but my word did it help with the stamina and have found the second attempt not quite as difficult as a result (wont use the word easier as that doesn't relate to me and running)! I'm now week 8 and have yet to repeat a run and I believe repeating those weeks have really helped an overweight, 52 year old, who incidentally gave up smoking in week 4 after 35 years!!!

Good to hear. Think we all need to remind ourselves this isn’t a competition and running 8 minutes or 20 minutes doesn’t matter, the main thing is we are still getting out there and doing it!

At the moment I can’t even climb the stairs without getting breathless so will definitely take it slow 🐌
