Just to update from the week 5 run 2 yesterday. Felt I had been a lot more prepared and although happy with completing it I was a little annoyed with myself that it became quite a struggle. With many of you taking time providing good advice on my previous runs I was more conscious to be hydrated and jog slow (tho I could/should work on slower again). As the day went on my breathing was more and more erratic and started with aches in chest and arms (I don't count leg aches since they aren't new lol). Ended up doing covid test - yep, positive.
Dunno whether it was working on me during the run or not but if that was the case then I might have ended up in quite a bit of bother without taking everyone's advice and just doing my own thing - so thank you 🤗

That’s a good explanation as to why you found it hard. Heal well, rest and run when you are ready, don’t push it when you start back, it’s a nasty virus
Do take the time off to recover now though and when your ready come back slowly , it certainly seems to affect everyone differently and recoveries will vary .
Thanks. Wife has it also and our symptoms are very different. She is more sick with her's and mine seems to have confined itself to my chest and nose. Couple of days where just the stairs where exhausting but I'm now starting to itch to get out and about again. Think a few walks once isolation over then a few days jumping through the programme from early weeks to see how it goes.
Aw, so sorry to hear you’re covid positive. Sometimes your body knows before you catch up.
Sounds like you did everything right in terms of prepping so take time to rest up and know that it will all stand you in good stead for the next one when you’re ready and recovered.
Just one of those things, never know what's round the corner. So glad I had started getting active as I've not suffered as much as others I know that caught it including my wife.
Thanks, feeling much better than last couple days. Breathing still knocked out of whack but pretty sure it's still better than when I did first weeks of the programme 😂
Looking forward to hearing how your next runs go 🏃♀️👍
Oh no, what a pain! We are both at about the same stage of the program and I was looking forward to seeing your W5R3 post. As everyone says, take it easy and don't try to do too much too soon.
Thank you. Just a slight set back and pretty sure I'll be back on track before long. Just gotta wait out the boring isolation then a few walks and think will try a couple of early week runs first. Saw you have completed run 3 - congratulations. I'm really glad it went well. Although I'm a little stuck atm it's actually been quite a joy to continue following everyone else to see the progress 🙂
