Feeling positive. Finding it easier than first time round, when I did each week twice before moving to next - maybe a useful tip for us ‘oldies’, or for those who are concerned about ‘failing’ and then giving up.
Week one done!: Feeling positive. Finding it... - Couch to 5K
Week one done!
ok.ok.ok....2 rookie errors... No 'old' here. No 'fail' here
An 82 year old chap just graduated last week and made all us mature cheeses feel positively humble.
Run slowly, follow the programme, take rest days (and maybe do some other form of exercise then), and keep checking in here for advice and support. I am sure that being on here made a big difference to me - made me accountable
You don't need to repeat runs if you complete them; just trust in the programme as it will take you through from couch to running for 30 minutes in carefully graduated steps. Each a challenge but each achievable. If you don't make it, it is a practice; improving your strength, stamina and knowledge about running and yourself.
Good luck; this programme might just change your life
FYI I am not a ‘rookie’ but a realist! This doesn’t automatically assume ‘failure’ but rather an understanding of basic human psychology. I found a way to succeed which worked for me, so feel it is valid to share it.
Misunderstood your post; thought you were asking for advice, which I gave. Not sure I agree with your 'basic human psychology' however. But of course all views are valid
You only fail if you stop trying.
This forum is your secret weapon....... keep posting.
