I was a little sore this morning but I didn't give up. Looking forward to week two!
Week one done!: I was a little sore this morning... - Couch to 5K
Week one done!
Well done and good luck for week 2, Ithekes.
Do you run in a relaxed manner? If you are tensed up when you run you will feel stiffness later. Also it is important to do some stretches as soon as you stop running to prevent soreness. Have a look at the web site for the stretches - they do help a lot!
This is a fantastic programme and you will very soon be feeling the benefits of doing it. Enjoy!
I was tense this morning because my lower back was tight...I will try and relaxe on my next run and see if that helps. Thanks for the advice!
well done and good luck with week 2
Thank you!
Yes, good luck! I'm currently struggling to get back into a running habit and it's tough mentally to drag yourself out there but soon enough it will become second nature!
Thank you! I would also like to wish you luck on your return to running.
Fantastic, well done. I have just finished week 2 and I promise it does get easier. I'm excited to start week 3 tomorrow. Hopefully we will be graduating together in the coming weeks. Keep it up
Thank you! Good luck with week three!
Brilliant.Once you complete week one you really do feel like moving on.I didn't think I would be able to complete week one but am now starting week four.Good luck for next week.Keep posting
Thank you! I can' t wait to hear about week four. Good luck!
Well done and I second the stretching. I do a full 20 minute routine when I finish running and it really helps.
Thank you! I did do some stretching after my run on Friday and my legs do feel better today.
Well done, good for you.
Definitely agree with stretching after (but not before) a run. I stretch calves, hamstrings & front thigh muscles afterwards and am never sore the next day.
Good luck with W2.
Thank you! I agree, I have found that a 10 minute warm-up walk instead of 5 and only stretching after my run works better for me.
