Week one - done!

I've spent all day today looking out the window, wondering if the weather would get better so that I could go for a run... It didn't. But, despite howling gales (seriously, I was almost blown off of my feet at one point), pouring rain, and cold temperatures, I did it anyway. It was the final run of week one, and I wasn't going to put it off.

I'm so glad I did - I've just FULLY completed the final run, without having to skip a run! Having started off this programme last Thursday and barely being able to run the first four runs thanks to major shin cramps, I can honestly say I'm pretty happy. The cramps were still there, but they didn't stop me, like they had just two days ago. Despite my earbuds being blown out of my ears multiple times (despite a well-secured hood...), and my glasses being so rainy I could barely see by the end, I can honestly say this was the best run yet. I have my first exam of the year tomorrow - I sincerely hope my success carries on into the exam hall!

Bring on week 2!

Congrats!!!!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Getting started is the hardest part.

It takes a real star to finish Week 1🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Now your job, is to remember to shine, even when it's cloudy!!! Or rainy, windy etc😜😜

Trust the program, trust this forum ( great for advice, encouragement, answers to questions, occasional kick up bum, somewhere to vent when things don't go your way) but most of all trust yourself. You can do this.

Good luck with Week 2.😀😀😀👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👍🏼🐢🏃🏼‍♀️👍🏼🐢🏃🏼‍♀️👍🏼🐢🏃🏼‍♀️

You're a star! As to that first exam, if you've done the work you've just got to show the examiners that you have as well! Yes, glasses are shit in the rain ...

Glasses are just awful! Might consider putting in contacts if I have to run in the rain again... Thanks as well - I'm hoping that hard work will pay off!

Well done you! I reckon you've done the hardest part already i.e. Getting started AND running in yucky weather. That's about as bad as it gets so if you can do that you can complete the whole thing. Seriously, although it obviously gets steadily harder your fitness will improve and you will be able to do it.

Keep it up!
