In the bag! this threw me today after the 20 minute run! - I was going to repeat Week 5 run 3 as it felt quite challenging. Instead I moved on! ...Felt good and adapted my styles thanks to the wonderful support here!! Felt lighter.... now I am travelling for 3 days so have to do the next one on Thursday - Feeling motivated now !!

Great... you are starting to feel, what I have christened, your happy pace... where your legs start to carry you, without thought.

Maybe a bit of walking whilst travelling, and roll on Thursday! Go you!

I just read a post about music and peoples favorites to inspire them - The music Laura provided doesn't inspire me - it's boring -Guess if I have my own music I have to listen first to what the plan is time myself but hey will still have better music that I enjoy. Do you all do your own music ?

EDIT- just seen you're in Thailand. Don't know if you can get the app there. Try!

Are you using a smartphone? As long as it's not v old you can try using the app. There's a few out there, look for the one with the turquoise background and yellow text. That gives you the choice of celeb trainers and lets you play your own music. Alternatively since you have made it this far, it's not hard to time yourself from now :)

Hi Icklegui. I am using the podcast app. Are you saying there are others apps with different music but still the instructions ? We can get most apps here . Could you help me with a link at all ? Many thanks

The podcasts are just audio files like music files (mp3s) - your phone will be using its own music player app to play them.

There's multiple apps called couch to 5k but the one with the NHS plan (the same plan the podcasts use but with celebrities instead of Laura) is here nhs.uk/LiveWell/c25k/Pages/... - on the right of the page should be the links for the app downloads for both iphones and android phones. If you're on a mobile with that page, scroll to the bottom where it says "show other content".

The apps don't have any background music but they work with your own music, you set your music going when the app tells you and then start your run in the app. They ought to quieten your music when the trainer speaks - sometimes it goes out of whack, usually fixed if you make sure you start your music at the right time before starting the run :)

Hope that helps!

PS I only wondered if you can get this app abroad as it's BBC sponsored, so like the iplayer I wondered if it's restricted or something!

Ok let me look into this Many thanks. All my music is on iPod so it would be great if I could find something to connect with this!

I just edited my answer as I realised the site looks different on a mobile :) Hmm if it's an iPod rather than iPhone I've no idea, I'm not an iPerson ... good luck! I think many people got a bit fed up of Laura's music...

No worries I have downloaded what you sent me anyway am sure they will be a way in the iPod. Am I the only person running with an iPod? If it means better music I will change to iPhone !
