My friends are I are so chuffed with ourselves. Can't believe we've managed to run for 5 mins.... & TWICE !
Three & a half weeks ago I was huffing & puffing on 1 minute runs, I never imagined I would actually progress to this point so soon. I expected to struggle with this run but apart from a quick stretch when I felt a real tightening I didn't stop at all.
Surprisingly, I actually found the second 5 min run easier than the first one, it felt more comfortable and I realised I wasn't fixated on my breathing etc. It seemed to be more natural, if that makes sense ?
Doing my second run on Monday night which I'm looking foreword to now I know I can do it.
I could do with some advice though as I'm going to Greece next Wednesday for a week. Planning on taking my trainers & doing my 3rd run whilst away, not sure how I'll cope in the heat though. Any advice from more experienced runners would be appreciated. Would it still be sensible to move into wk 5 whilst I'm there or should I just stick with an extra wk 4 run ?
Don't want to knock my confidence & feel defeated if I find it too much.
Never ever thought I'd be taking running gear on holiday with me. Now I'm struggling to decide what I'm leaving out to fit my trainers in ! π
TIA for any advice x

Early morning is what I'm planning on as I'm always an early riser. Hoping the stunning ocean views will distract me mentally during the longer run, so I can head back feeling triumphant. Then treat myself to a well earned breakfast before hitting the sun lounger π€π»π
You don't fail by not completing a run, you just find a level that matches your current fitness. Better to repeat that run than one you have already finished.
Running on holiday will give you some wonderful memories.
Love the pic, love it that you are doing this with your friends! Running in Greece what a beautiful treat! Just try and enjoy the sights and feel of it, it's too good an opportunity to miss (says someone who was running in her garden only a month ago!). That's how running changes us. Enjoy and feel the moment, you will be great
