Week 4 Run 1

I try really hard not to be a bad person, but I lost my patience with 'Laura' today on the podcast...I was going well, doing my second 5 minute run, working hard to keep my breathing under control, feeling like I must be close to finishing when all of a sudden, Laura announced that I'd been running for 2.5 minutes and I was halfway there....without a second thought, I found myself shouting out an expletive aimed at the poor girl. I'm really sorry Laura...nothing personal but it felt like I'd been running much longer...

Please don't judge me too harshly people.....

I once called her a c*nt, so I think you're OK :)

😂 I verbally abused the poor woman too a couple of times. She seems a distant, cold-hearted wotsit some weeks!

By week 9 she was my bff, I even forgave her dodgy music and she's even been holding my hand post-grad lol!

She'll forgive you!

Haha who am I to judge.  I've said before that laura seems to cut in too early during the walking sections then is too slow cutting in during the running section! I also called her lots of things but she seems to take it well.

Good luck with the remainder of the programme.

I know - that little interjection halfway into the second big run is quite harsh, as you feel you must have done at least 4 minutes by that time!

We are all human, Adamskk1, and besides Laura can't hear you, so don't worry about your outburst ;-)

I have also found myself shouting out loudat Laura which was a bit embarrassing (I think people thought I was on the phone) but thankfully Laura never seems to take offence.

Her watch is definitely dodgy!

Ah, the sainted Laura !  I still need her, like a comfort blanket, whilst I'm trying to  extend my mileage.

hahaha! I so agree, I swear once she says it been half the time it then feels like a year and a day till she tells me to slow down. Laura's ears must burn quite a lot from all the cursing!
