Hi everyone... so today was originally going to be my last run of week 4, but I am opting to do it tomorrow instead and take on an extra rest day. Several hours after my run on Wednesday, I developed a pretty bad migraine, which luckily was "slept off" Wednesday night along with the help of a dark room and cold rag on head.... But then last night I started feeling it trying to come back. I'm not sure if it's just the earlier mornings or the exertion put forth that i'm not used to yet (or a combination of both). So i opted to sleep a little bit later this morning. I have not quit by any means, I just think the extra rest is important! I will be back out and ready to go in the morning!!!

An Extra Rest Day
Extra rest is always good. although more beneficial if you go to bed earlier rather than getting up later.
Rest is essential for running, and running tired is hard going, so you did the right thing. I know how debilitating migraines can be and I always feel I have a migraine hangover after the migraine has gone.
Hopefully you'll be feeling better tomorrow. Make sure you are keeping your fluid levels up today (hydration is good for running but also for your head) and good luck for tomorrow.
Oh no! So sorry! I get migraine too and sometimes think it’s been because of exercise. Rest up well and you’ll soon be off out again. I’m doing childcare this weekend so won’t do Run 3 until Monday at earliest.

I do sometimes have 2 rest days and have kept in sync with each week starting on the same day. Life gets in the way but I don't worry about it 👍
