Extra rest day

Feeling super exhausted today so going to give myself an extra rest day. Is it wrong that I feel guilty? I’m battling myself right now telling myself to get on with it and the other part is telling me to not beat myself up and get some sleep.

I think you are right to take an extra rest day if you don’t feel right. And the fact that you feel a bit guilty, shows that you want to do this programme.

You’ll go out and smash it the next time you run and will feel great 😁

Nothing wrong at all with having an extra rest day or even two. It will quite likely make your next session more successful and enjoyable.

I am really enjoying the journey especially as it’s summer holidays it’s my half an hour of peace and tranquillity 😂. Thanks for the support guys

Absolutely!! Take that extra day. You need it. Just remember to get back out there after! Plan for it and then go for it. Take a walk if you need it during the run. That’s normal. Just do it. Good luck. 👍

I bet you'll find it easier after an extra rest day and be faster than you're used to. That's what I found after 9 enforced rest days!
