So tomorrow was supposed to be run 1 of week 4 after finishing week 3 yesterday with today being the rest day however, due to a breakfast meeting at 06:30am tomorrow I had to have an extra rest day before tackling the next brick wall challenge of run 1 week 4 on Saturday and then came an email today to say tomorrow’s meeting had been postponed so, tomorrow it is then. A lot of me feels excited and relieved that I’ve not broken the habit of running and resting yet but some of me (and the voice is getting louder) is saying 5 minute runs, never going to do it. Sleep well fellow runners and shufflers and hopefully, just hopefully and I really do hope that tomorrow morning about 7am I can message again and say done it.
Extra rest day cancelled. : So tomorrow was... - Couch to 5K
Extra rest day cancelled.
A run instead of a stuffy meeting, what’s not to like! I thought the same about 5 minute runs but it was fine - trust the plan, you’re ready for this! Enjoy!
Yes the one on one off pattern worked well for me too. You can do 5 minutes. I didn’t find it easy but it was definitely possible and sure it’s possible for you too. The more this programme goes on the more you realise that it’s just as much a mental exercise as it is a physical one
Everybody here should have bosses that cancel meetings so they don’t get in the way of the running... whoever you work for I like them! 😂
You can do 5s... slow and steady as you start. Looking forward to your post as I’ll be running later in the day and it’ll be part of my inspiration. Have a good one.
I did Wk 4 Run1 this morning and although it was not easy,it was not as bad as I thought it was going to be. I am on a hen weekend this weekend so debating whether to do the next one tomorrow or risk leaving it till Monday morning and then struggling. Good luck.
You can do it! Positive thoughts - good luck and keep us posted 😀
Hopefully it went ok. I found wk4r1 a bit challenging but stuck through. However the later runs that week we're surprisingly easy and felt like I'd finally found my mojo. Good luck and just stick at it. You'll surprise yourself
