W5R2 Endorphins speaking...

So here is my rallying call to all the wobblers out there at this stage (or earlier), to let you know that I have found Week 5 R2 to be exhilarating, amazing and possibly the most satisfying so far.

As someone who sat on the couch for over 60 years and worried and worried about the 8 minute runs, I wanted to let you know the magic of this programme and that it really works.

I am very fortunate, I know, to have time to run in the afternoon, in a glorious park full of Autumn colour and (today) sunshine, with just a slight chill in the air.

My friend now on W2R1 is still right behind me and enjoying it just as much (she is 71 and much fitter...) Thank you for all the support and advice out there.

20 mins on Friday and I am excited, planning the route!

Brilliant! Well done to you and a great endorsement for the programme. I couldn't praise it highly enough when I did it, I now do Parkruns and regularly get overtaken by 70+ year old ladies (I'm 47!!)

Good luck for run 3, enjoy!

Well done. I am glad that you and your friend are having such fun and yes, it is a beautiful afternoon for running :)

Well done and good luck for W5R3! When you finish the 20 minutes you feel amazing (i Just did it a few days ago). It really does work, I'm still quite amazed by it all as I head into week 6. Enjoy the run, I'm sure you will!

Well done! I did run 3 this morning, and loved it. You'll love it too! Just don't think about it too much, and enjoy the fact that you are actually achieving what you set out to do. Go for it, if I can do it, I bet you can :-)
