WK8R1 had been bagged with a mixture of all kinds of weather this morning and I feel great!!
Woke up at 6:55am, after a long day yesterday attending an open day at Winchester university for daughter number 3, donned the gear, put the tunes on, said "Good morning" to Mr Smooth and off I went.
WK8R1 had started and I was really looking forward to this. 28 minutes of running, all carefully planned out so as to avoid running up a hill on the last minute!! I can do hills at the beginning and in the middle but just not at the end of the run!! I live in Cambridgeshire, which is in The Fens and is supposed to be flat!! Well let me tell you, it is not bloody flat!! There's hills everywhere!!
I don't know what it was about this run but I really enjoyed it. Time went by in a flash and before I knew it Mr Smooth was telling me that I had finished my running for the day and for some strange reason that really upset me 😢
I'm sad when I can't run 😢 I'm sad when it's a rest day 😢 (I'm currently taking 2 rest days for these longer runs and it's working a treat) I get jealous when I see other people running on my rest days. I get itchy feet when it's a rest day. What does all this mean?!!
Oh yes, I think it means that I am in ❤️ with running and it doesn't bother me one bit!!
Happy Sunday to all runners and I hope you find running love whatever path it takes you down 🏃🏼❤️🏃🏻♀️

Kelling is our local site if we just want a weekend away in the caravan. Now I've started this running lark I will be down those tracks. Can just see me now running down by the railway line, 😂
Morning Kim, so pleased that you had another great run - you are nearly at that podium now. The extra rest day helped me too with my run yesterday. Have a great Sunday x
Hello "waves", whereabouts in Cambs are you? And where is that park? I'm a regular at Milton parkrun.......always up for a meet up if you fancy it.....just ask Curlygurly2 .......
Huntingdon in Cambs. The park is Hinchingbrooke Country Park and they have a parkrun every Saturday. I've just signed up and am hoping to do one soon, maybe as I go into Week 9!!
That's another one ticked off Kim, 5 left now until you graduate, do you have any plans for afterwards?
One day you will listen when I say you've got this, you can run for 20 minutes, you can run for 25 minutes and you can now run for 28 minutes, want to guess the rest of this?
Here's a hint:
If I can run for 28 minutes then I can run for XX minutes.
Lovely post Kim. I'm not a big fan of hills either, so I can sympathize! You've got to love those easy relaxed runs. Your legs and your lungs are saying "We got this - lets go!"
