I’ve never been an early riser, but to get the runs in and fit in life too, I’ve started getting up early. My goodness. This morning was so beautiful! Still dark when I first went out but then light mist, birds singing, pink sky!! And I saw a pair of brown hares crossing the road in front of me who stopped, looked at me and then loped off, in no hurry.
I’m lucky to live in the middle of no-where and also know I’m not the first to have this revelation by any means, but oh!! Who knew.
Early mornings with the city streets to myself are one of my favourite things about running, too. I don't live in the middle of nowhere, but I am near a couple of parks and spotted rabbits a couple of times. It's so nice before the traffic really starts, and when it's not too hot. And, yes, there are fewer people around to see my red face!
Running outside is amazing it keeps the running interesting. Great you're still going and are on wk2. The red face is part of the plan I think 😂. Well done you 😊
I too live in the wilderness. It's a great blessing as far as I'm concerned.
I think hares are able to recognise a fellow runner, as I have had the same experience, she just sat in the middle of the path watching me. Perhaps we should take it as a compliment?
Good luck with Week 2, the red face is a badge of honour.
