Hi all. I am a 49 year young lady who has just started the couch to 5k and done my first run this morning. I feel great for doing it. I started slimming world 21 weeks ago and have lost nearly 3 stone so far and besides doing dancercise and boogie bounce I wanted to do that extra bit. Aiming to do my first park run very soon as well.

Well done! That's a great weight loss. Congratulations. Running is great for maintaining weight, providing of course you stick to your healthy eating regime. You don't get any extra grub for C25k! You won't need to take on board any extra calories til you're running beyond 10k

I'd lost over 3 stones before embarking on the programme and lost another stone. I've kept the lard off for 7 years this November but I've kept running! I walk everywhere too, which is great, so do consider that as it keeps you fit. Your dancing will also act as a good cross training exercise for your non-run days

Have fun, and good luck. By the way, just do the programme very slowly. No need to push at all

Welcome to the fun house.

%k park runs will always be there once you have completed this>

Just take it slowly slowly slowly and follow the plan and dont skip /jump forward in the program and dont miss out the rest days.

Always when people go out of the blocks like a champion runner that later weeks become a hurdle.

Take it slow. Enjoy. And visit in here often >
