I'm an emotional running machine today....that was my penultimate run of the programme....I feel like I'm going to be floater when I've finished...I don't want to be on my own...you lot are my crutch (& I mean that in the nicest possible way!!!)...highlight of my run today? A pug running around with a condom in its mouth with its owner running round flapping her arms in complete disgust!!! Never a dull moment....!!!
Two groups of children with their teacher, running round with magnifying glasses looking for bugs & looking closely at flowers, full of wonder, enjoying the outside world....JUST LIKE ME!!!!! Whoop whoop...I LOVE RUNNING!!!!

So close now mate... You will never be on your own we are all always here to give you inspiration or just a kick up the backside if you need it, you have done so amazingly well and you are just brilliant π
I am not covering 5k & I think that's what this is all about in the end, yes, I can run for 30 minutes (!) but today for instance I only covered 3.9k so I'm going to repeat it until I ever get to 5k!! I am happy with running...the fact that I am out there actually running is enough for me so if I ever get to the stage where I just go out for a run with no app to guide me, just music in my ears if I run for 30 mins every time that'll do for me...
I was hung up about it but not anymore I feel so much better mentally and physically running 30 mins 3 x a week so I will just continue doing what I'm doing πππππ
I'm with you - I am aiming to get to 5k in 30 mins, but on 3.3k at the moment. Not hung up about it though, as a few months ago I couldn't run for a minute without feeling I was going to die! I have been amazed at the difference running 3 times a week for 30 mins makes to overall fitness.
oh my goodness, what an image, poor pug doesn't know what it's found...!! The kids in their nature lesson, much more wholesome!
Well done and ooooh nearly done, but look around at all the people on the forum with the graduate badge, still hanging around. you don't have to leave!
Way to go!! So close!! You've got this. Its weird what you notice when you run isn't it? Maybe its because our minds are occupied with the pace and the music. I seem to notice things I wouldn't have BR (before running)
Ooo, don't know about advice but I can keep you entertained!!! There's all sorts goes on during my runs!!!! I might write a running journal!!! Then it could be an audio book for all runners!?!?! X
A..I feel such relief now...I really don't want to go anywhere, I still want to be part of this group of lovely people, I get so much from reading, posting and responding to posts..I love it!!!
I'm excited for my last run & cant quite believe I've got here...it's been a grand old journey!! X
Awww that's so cool. I meant you not the pug Well done you!
Whoooooop whoooooooop. 1 more run ....... awesome running . Once finished I will repeat wk 9 to guide me further on my journey and because I would miss Mr Smooth
I loved my Graduation run. A nice quite morning in the Park, the knowledge that I really could do this - and if not that morning, a future morning - ran nice and steadily and did not put any pressure or angst on myself. just a nice calm fulfilling run that has me smiling even now to recall.
And it started raining gently when I was on my cool down walk home. The rain hitting the leaves sounded like approving applause...
Enjoy your Graduation Run MC - it really is a 'once in a lifetime' experience
I think I need to find another location for my running. I'm devastated that I don't get police helicopters, blokes in bushes with knives, prophylactic chewing pugs or grinning ladies with shiny not blue trainers on my route! ;0)
One more to go, there'll be a giant cyber party for you here!!
Congrats on getting this far and continuing to run despite the Pug/Condom conjunction - hope the kids didn't see this! Good Luck for your last run of the programme tomorrow - and good luck with the 1st run of the rest of your running on Saturday????? know you can do it - just don't trip over the pug or the kids.....
Thank you Ha ha!! No, separate parts of the park thank goodness!!! Looking forward to letting you all know when I've done it!!!! πͺπ»ππΌββοΈ
