We are back from Canada where we did lots of untimed walking. Off again in a week or so to our daughter's wedding , then to Berlin in first week of November. Timed walks and exercise classes until that's all over. Buy ourselves decent running shoes and couch to 5 k will begin. I really cannot focus on it now.
Jet lag has been really bad but I hope the worst is over now.

The walking will have helped...but as you say..time to buy those shoes, break them in a tad and get out there steady and slow... you will feel the benefits..
Just remember no sneaky runs to the Fox and Anchor...., before you have your trainers....
