I am so impressed by all the efforts and huge support on this Forum, thank you.
Managed to complete Week 2 in a local park
on Friday morning. Gorgeous, quiet surroundings and the flat paths made it so much better. (I will look again at hills in a few weeks, but needed to be able to sustain the 90 sec run first.)
This morning, on a weekend with grandkids at the beach, I made it to the 3 min runs of W3. Sea wall
proved easier than pebbles, though!
Still haven't mastered the breathing (too shallow and more like panting) but am trying. Also still slow, but really looking forward to W3R2 on Tuesday.
It's certainly addictive!

Well done on completing week 2 and starting week 3, I'd never run on pebbles or sand, I have a hard enough time on the treadmill to be honest
With regards to your breathing, have a search around for belly breathing exercises, this may help you, if your breathing isn't right it's a lot harder to run for long. What's wrong with slow? On my last run I was over taken by three snails and an infant crawling! Slow and steady gets you to the end every time, I learnt that in week 3 from OldFloss on here, as the time spent running/jogging or in my case, waddling, increases slow and steady will get you there.
Well done you... slow and steady and just keep breathing... if you are struggling, slow down more, and do not try to alter the way you breathe at all... it has kept you going this far!
Your runs sound lovely.. I had a seaside run this morning
